Wondering how to take care of your mental and physical health during lockdown?
Life Resolutions Psychologist Mary Magalotti is here with some simple advice:
Three Tips from Mary Magalotti
Stay Active
You might feel tempted to just sink into bed and Netflix the day away but staying active has heaps of benefits for both mental and physical health.
Why not try a free online Pilates class? Or a brisk walk around the block to soak up those rays?
Keep in Touch
Although we might be huddled up inside, technology means that it is easier than ever to stay in touch. Schedule a Zoom date with friends or catch up for an old-fashioned phone call.
It’s never been more important to lean on those we love, so don’t be afraid to voice your struggles – chances are, there is someone else who is feeling the same way!
Seek Support
At Life Resolutions, we know that this is a tough time for all Victorians. Even as the lockdown fades, mental health issues that arise during this time can continue to affect us.
If you’re struggling, or could just do with a chat, we encourage you to reach out and contact the Life Resolutions team today. We provide compassionate, supportive counselling over the phone or online – we’re committed to supporting all Australians through this difficult time.
